...The Praxis exam is an exam used to qualify a person for teaching education. I have the study guide materials for the exam and I have had over 30 years of experience learning and or teaching the math portion of the exam. In my education I have had to take every math level course from pre-algebra, trig, geometry, logic, discrete math, to calculus and differential equations.

...I try to avoid scientific and mathematical jargon and do make sure that the student understands the meaning of everything that is being said. For instance, I do not casually say the word "polynomial" assuming that everybody knows what that word means. Instead, I explain it in a direct, short and down-to-Earth manner so that next time you hear it you know you are in control.
