Hi There! I have been a mathematics tutor for 5 years in the California Bay Area. I mainly work with elementary-aged children in after-school program settings; however, in the past I have tutored high school students one on one in math, history, and a few other subjects.

...I am new to California and have a valid Oregon Teaching license for teaching elementary education all subjects. I have also taught math all the way up to 8th grade. My qualifications for teaching phonics includes:
-A master's in education which included extensive training on teaching reading, writing, and grammar.

...Initially, I had the hands-on experience and then have completed the course in College of San Mateo. I love the accounting software and do know how it helps in portraying the financial statements in a clear and concise manner and in no time. And I would love to teach how to work around with QuickBooks to get the most out of it.

At Stanford, I studied both Mechanical and Civil Engineering and used concepts from Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus on a regular basis. In my current line of work as an engineer and product designer, I still employ my learnings from these subjects to solve real world problems.

I believe that to be successful in Math requires a firm foundation in the basics. Everyone is different and understands in different ways; because of this, I like to offer a variety of approaches where possible in order to find one that fits. I taught math for 5 years in England to students 5-12th grades across all abilities and am now volunteering in my local elementary school.
